Road Closure Expansion for P.S. Kensington's 5th Year, 2008.
Pedestrian Sundays in Kensington Market have filled a new corner of our hearts--specifically in the Nassau, South Augusta, and Baldwin chambers...This year we are pleased to announce that many new streets will be taking part in P.S. Kensington festivities.
AUGUSTA--The road closure wil begin right at Dundas, continuing north right to College, including a whole slough of business old and new in P.S. Kensington. This makes Wales and Denison Square aroung the park defacto no-traffic zones, but maintaining on-street parking for residents.
NASSAU--Nassau from Bellevue to Spadina will be treated as a no-traffic street. There wil be no parking between Bellvue and Augusta, but marshaled access will be maintained for local business and residents who must get vehicles through, and residents may still park on Nassau between Augusta and Spadina.
BALDWIN--This year, the pedestrian street on Baldwin will begin right at Spadina, drawing much foot-traffic into Kensington, and maintaining vehicular access to the green P parking garage via St.Andrew.
