Kensington Cook-off

This is an iron-chef style competition where two-person teams representing local
restaurants compete in two heats of three teams per heat.

The first heat is from 1-3pm and the second will be from 4-6pm.

To add an extra level of skill and theatrics to the competition, contestants
will be receiving a list of food shops in the market where they may purchase
their ingredients, making the actual grocery shopping part of the competition.

Judges will fill in scorecards that rate various aspects of the culinary
creations, and winners will be announced at 3:30 and 6:30.

Keep in mind that in the spirit of the blackout fest, no electrical appliances
will be used and competitors are responsible for maintaining their own coals on
the barbeques.

The competition will be held under a marquee at United Smiles of Kensington, 297
Augusta Ave, across the street from La Palette. Participating restaurants
and food stores will be finalized on Friday.
