Info for Locals
Parking
Due to City safety regulations no cars can be parked on the indicated streets (see map) between noon and 7:00pm, and until 10pm on North Augusta, on the Pedestrian Sundays.
All vehicles parked on the closed streets after Noon will be relocated without charge to a local lot.
All access to businesses and homes will be maintained throughout the closure period, except by motor vehicle (car, truck, van, SUV, motorcycle etc.) Cyclists will be required to walk their bikes through the closed areas. Additional bicycle parking will be provided at all entry points to the market.
In summer (2004) those residents or businesses with permit parking were mailed a free parking voucher for each of the festival Sundays - paid for by the City of Toronto. The Working Group is responsible for fundraising this year, and we are doing our best to cover this expense for the seven Sundays in question - May 27th, June 24th, July 29th, August 26th, September 30th, and October 28th, 2007.
Please keep your parking receipts and bring them to La Palette (256 Augusta) for reimbursement by working group members Shamez or Kelsey.
If you have off-street legal parking that has access from the closed streets, you will have to remove your vehicle before Noon each Sunday - or you will have to wait until after 7:00 p.m. to move your vehicle. Once the streets are closed, you will not be able to move your vehicle from the parking spot. Please contact Yvonne in case of emergency - 416 826 2964.
Visitors to the market will be directed to parking lots and garages with signage.
