Fire! Summer SUNday

As you may have heard, the street closure permit has been cancelled for our June 27th Pedestrian Sunday. This means that cars will be allowed into the market, however, there will still be a festive atmosphere that day... music, dance, food and fun are no strangers to the streets of Kensington and a bunch of world leaders meeting in a fortified downtown core can't stop us from having a good time.

Water! Streams of Consciousness

Amid island music and a barrage of pirates, sailors, and fishermen, we’ll celebrate the magic of water, water conservation, and consciousness—write a message in a bottle, sing sea shanties, take the water challenge.

In addition to the usual fun, Atmosphere Industries presents Gentrification: The Game! An award-winning live action game of monopoly + public space hacking + random acts of kindness. Turn the neighbourhood upside down in a strategic street game that pits developers against locals! We've got art, lawsuits, sidewalk chalk, and an iPhone web app.

Blackout Celebration

For the seventh anniversary of the memorable day when we all realized that we consume too much, we will celebrate by turning the lights out! All acoustic music, kid-powered fun, and community meals are what make remembering the blackout such a delight.

Air! The Kensington Community Air Show

In contrast to the Toronto International Air Show, we fly messages of peace, blow horns and hot air, eat chili, blow bubbles and dance in the street.

Earth! Global Harvest Traditions

In celebration of the bounty of the earth, we’ll exchange seeds, meet our farmers, and enjoy a feast of local foods, and learn a harvest dance.

Halloween! Honouring Our Ancestors

We celebrate many global traditions that arise at this time of the year, when life retreats to a dormant state and we reflect on days passed and those who now exist in a realm beyond death. Stock up on some heartwarming fun to keep your soul strong for the winter ahead.
